iTunes does not recognize my iPhone 4.

All of a sudden my iTunes does not recognize my iPhone 4.I plug it in using the Apple cord and nothing appears in iTunes. I can see it in my devices on my computer but not in iTunes. Any help? Earlier today I had an iTunes update that installed as well as an update for my Samsung laptop's System Bios...could that have anything to do with it? Very frustrated.


I have powered off my iPhone as well as my iTunes and still nothing.

If issues persist, a thorough removal and reinstall of iTunes would be the next thing to try:
