How to justify the price of a 15" MacBook Pro with retina display

I am a soon-to-be college freshman. Through my research, I decided that I want the baseline 15" MacBook Pro with retina display. I do not know what I want to major in college, but I do know that I'm going to continue my hobby of photography. However, how do I justify paying $1,899.00 (education pricing) + sales tax for a laptop? Should I go with the 13" instead? Thanks!

No one wishes to tell you how to spend your money.

From here, photography looks best on a larger screen.

Only you can justify spending money on anything. We don't know anything about your financial situation. But just the fact that you asked for us to help you justify the expense indicates to me that you can't afford it. Otherwise you would just spend the money. Research cheaper options.
