iTunes Troubles

Since the new update my iTunes has not been able to recognize that I have a device connected. So, I have not been able to sync anything on my phone. In the photo below my iPhone is connected but where my device usually pops up in the top right next to the iTunes tab, it is not there. Any suggestions?
