Volume stuck at halfway.

Somebody help me out please!! I have searched the archives and, although I found something similar to my problem, I have taken almost every suggestion and tried them. I have imported some of my CDs to iTunes. My problem is, the CDs volume is lower than several tracks I already have. I have been to Get Info/Options/Volume Adjustment and set them almost to 100%. When I play them on my iPod though, the volume cuts out at the halfway point. I understand how that works, but if I stop increasing the volume on those tracks at 50%, the other tracks with which I have no problem are now being played at a lower volume level, which is too low. On the other hand, if I turn up the volume past the halfway point, the adjusted track doesn't change but the unadjusted one is higher, which defeats the whole purpose of resetting the volume adjustment on the problem tracks. Is there a way to set it up that all my music is at the same level?

When you open iTunes you'll see at the top "Edit" open that up and click on "Preferences". This will open a new window, once this opens up click on the "Playback" tab. You'll see Sound Check as the 3rd option down. Put a checkmark in that box, to turn this on....This will set to play all songs as the same level then in the settings on your iPod you'll also see Sound Check in there as well....If you turn that on, it will match the settings that are set in iTunes giving you the same volume in all your songs. This may not make them all loud enough for you, but it will have the iPod and iTunes playing all the songs back at the same volume level!
