ipod crashes after reaching distance goal
After running 3 miles my ipod nano blanks out can then turns back on. It's frustrating because my time and distance does not get recorded. Has anyone occured this issue?

I am having the same problem. I bought this Ipod so I could use the fitness feature. Now, I can't keep track of my workouts and calories because it keeps dying when I'm almost to the end.
I actually bought a new Nano because I thought it was a hardware problem. It isn't, still have exact same problem with new one. Seems to happen when I check how many miles I have done.
Please fix, it *****.
I sent in my Ipod for repair and they said they couldn't replicate the problem so there was nothing they could do. They are sending it back to me. It only happens to me when I get towards the end of my 4 miles and it doesn't happen every time, although it has been more frequent recently. I bought the Ipod so I could combine the heart rate monitor with my music instead of having the watch to track calories and Ipod too. Now I feel like I just wasted money.
Mine is doing the same thing when I use the preset distances. It seems to reset when I get to the part that tells me I have 400 meters to go. Very frustrating!
I have been experiencing the same issue- iPod spontaneously reboots as I near the end of my run. As a result, the entire run is lost. I had Apple reload the firmware (they took it a level deeper than what I can do at iTunes). The issue continued.
Apple then replaced my iPod for 1/2 price and the issue still continues. So I swapped out the shoe sensor. Now i can't calibrate the new sensor without a reboot. At 1/4 mile in the calibrate cycle I get a reboot every time.
Any insight to the issue?
