First Generation ipod shuffle want to load youtube converted to audio files using clipconverter but will not accept MP3 WHY?

Hi there,

I believe I have a first generation ipod shuffle. Its slim about 3 inches tall and attached to a string that goes around your neck.

I converted a bunch of youtube videos using clip converter. They were converted to MP3s. I could not copy it from my itunes

because it says it cannot be played on my ipod. Does anybody know if I should have converted it to something else (e.g., MP4 or AAC) or

using something else (that is not clipconverter)? Thank you!
