Q: how do i get my pc to read my imac backup

I have backed up my imac to an external 1TB hard drive. How do I get a pc to read my external hard drive?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

    A utility such as MacDrive would allow a Mac-formatted disk to be read on a Windows PC.

     

    Mac application files cannot be used on the PC. Depending upon the file format/type, there may or may not be limitations regarding documents.

    You can also network the PC and Mac.   The question becomes what Windows operating system are you connecting to.  And are you using Mac OS X 10.4.11 as your signature suggests?
