trying to install flash player, enter ID password but nothing happens, please help

I've tried to install flash player because I get a "flash out of date" message on many videos.

Although i've followed the steps on screen to follow, once I get to entering my username and password, nothing happens. the screens just stays there. no upload.

please help

It may be best to start over with Flash. In the Utilities folder open Adobe Flash Player Install Manager and run it to completely uninstall flash. Then re-download it from Adobe: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Once downloaded run the installer.

Edit: It's your user account Admin password you need to input to run the installer - not user name and password.
