I've been having the same problem in LP 7.2.1 it is frustrating. I moved my entire track to start from bar2/beat1 and it seems to work. As for the groove control files, I haven't figured out any way around that other than quantizing them so at least the grid lines up. I've contacted spectrasonics and am awaiting a response. I read that it has to do with RMX not clearing it buffer properly.
BTW... I have the same issue from wherever I start playing not just the top of the track.the delay in sounding is still there.
Strange stuff!!

In that case, it sounds like this is just a trigger mode issue.

When in Groove Menu mode, using a "Next Beat" or "Next Bar" trigger mode is great when playing live, because you can trigger grooves and they'll always start right on time.

However, when you're programming midi in Logic and placing notes in precise locations, for example by dragging a note to Bar 1/Beat 1, you should use "Immediate" as your trigger mode. That way you can be sure to get the groove to start precisely where you dropped the note.
