As a foreign student I am planning to buy a MBP in the US, with Apple Care. However, when I move back to my home country (the Netherlands) will all the benefits from the Apple Care program still apply? Will I still have full coverage? (ofcourse within the three years of purchase)

AppleCare is not transferable to another country. The Apple warranty is transferable, however. Contact your Apple store when you buy to be sure of the latest Apple policies.

I do believe though that South Africa doesn't recognize AppleCare, although that may have changed. There may be other countries that don't. See all the documentation on http://www.apple.com/support/
