I'm using a 2013 15' Retina Macbook Pro with 16GB RAM. My issue is when connecting it via HDMI to my HD tv to watch movies, it seems to stutter. For the screen sharing, I have it set up to mirror the laptop screen. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks for the idea. I did try this but it had zero effect on the issue. I guess instead of saying the image stutters, it looks more like every few dozen seconds, it seems to drop in frame rate, like the second screen can't keep up. Anyone else having this issue, or have an idea on why this might be happening?
Try a different HDMI cable.
