Users are having issues with the update, IE Itunes tried to automatically update today and failed and then I was also getting the MSVCR80.dll error from Https://discussions.apple.com/message/24633790#24633790. Apparently this is happening worlwide.
Possible solution from another user, but this needs to be fixed by Apple:
Uninstall deployment completely removes iTunes.
• Close the application before installing this content; otherwise, the deployment will fail and may display a pop-up message.
• The following components are included: Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support and iTunes.
• The following components may be required for some iTunes features and are NOT included: Apple Software Update, Bonjour and QuickTime.
• Use separate installers for any of the components that are not provided. Please note that QuickTime patch content is available separately.
Go into Programs and Features and uninstall:
iTunes
Apple Application Support
Apple Mobile Device Support
Apple Software Update
Reboot. Download a fresh copy of iTunes. Right click on the exe file and select Run as Administrator. Should fix the issue.
