Jan 28, 2014 12:28 PM in response to Fedup1989by brad805,This problem is between you and Orange. Apple cannot help. The only way to know if Orange unlocked iPhone, is to Restore iPhone with iTunes on computer. When the Restore is finished, iTunes will tell you it is unlocked, if it is.

Jan 28, 2014 12:29 PM in response to Fedup1989by wegras,Orange ( UK?) will do and claim everything and anything to delay unlocking
Apple's role is simple Orange send them details of the iPhone they have approved for unlocking and the relevant iPhone is removed from the lock database.
This process is automated and Apple do not and cannot delay the process
locking is a carrier thing
Apple sell non carrier locked iPhones
This is the process

Jan 28, 2014 1:07 PM in response to brad805by Fedup1989,Hi thanks for the reply orange have told maybe if I contact apple they could do something
It's just excuses from them every day which is getting seriously frustrating
I was just wondering if apple could do anything for a fed up Apple fan
Is there a database I can check to see if this request has been sent?

Jan 28, 2014 1:57 PM in response to Fedup1989by wegras,Apple can do nothing as explained ,once Orange have processed the request therest at Apple's end is automatic
no human intervention ( if it did it would require an army )
You can call Applecare and they may tell you the status of the iPhone on the Lock database but you know that already and they may charge you
Have you followed the doc linked for the bit you have to do
