I accidently locked myself out of my iphone, but when I tried to restore it, there was a new problem. A message appeared, saying that I needed to turn off "Find My Iphone" before I restored my Iphone. The application is on my phone, which I cannot get to. How do I deal with this?

Thanks for the information, but that doesn't help me out. I did try to restore my iphone just as that support document stated, but I couldn't because of the message that appeared.
Login to icloud.com with your Apple ID and password and remove your device from Find My iPhone app.
On a computer of course.
You can log in to icloud.com on a web browser and turn it off from there.
