Q: How do you login to the "System Administrator" account on Mavericks

So much has changed in Mavericks compared to Leopard ( i have had been "FORCED" to update because of security issues ), and finding Apple Inc. has "REMOVED" so many apps ( and replaced them with "NOTHING" = (null) = completely missing )

so HOW do i login to my "System Administrator" account ( "Root" or has it dissapeared as well )

any thoughts on the subject, or answers will be very much appreciated :-)

Root is still there it's just not enabled by default as it used to be on previous server installs. It's difficult to begin with but you've got to stop thinking you've a fully-fledged server OS because you haven't. It's just a client OS and an App that carries everything it needs within itself and nothing more.

Enable root in the same you would previously. Either via the command line or Directory Utility or the reset password utility when booting from the RecoveryHD.

What apps do you think are you missing?
