iTunes match set up issues

Hi,

I recently purchased iTunes match and am having what seems to be the common problem of getting past Step 3 - uploading songs to iCloud that aren't available in iTunes.

I have tried some of the fixes posted on this community and still can't get it to work:

  • I have deleted songs that had the iCloud symbol with a line through it
  • I have made sure that the windows fire wall allows iTunes to communicate both ways
  • I have disabled the antivirus.

There are ~2000 songs that are apparently not available on iTunes (?!?!?) that need to be uploaded.

It's not even that I can just manually store these songs through iTunes on my devices, as soon as Step 3 hangs, it tells me to sign out and back in. Once I log back in, it asks me if I want to match this library - frequently it tells me that if I match this library, it will discard the previously matched library (I only have 1).

This is such a good idea in principle but I have never encountered such a terrible offering from Apple!!! It says a lot when iTunes Match isn't even listed as a support topic!!

Any other ideas out there without having to delete and replace over 2000 tracks in iTunes?

Thanks, Clare
