How do I get iTunes to believe my computer IS authorised and then get it to sync with my iPad Mini?

I have an iPad and laptop, which have worked together nicely for ages until today. iTunes tells me this computer is not authorised, so I authorise it and it tells me it's already authorised, so I try to sync it again and it tells me it's not authorised.

I've tried all of Apple's suggestions - I am doing everything from the administrator's account on the laptop, I've turned control setting on and off, updared to the newest iTunes, deleted SC settings and I only have one Apple ID.

Any other suggestions? Apple are being uselss and none of the suggestions in other forums have helped.

Thanks,

Zoe
