Q: I tried to update my Apple TV software

I tried to update my Apple TV, followed the onscreen instruction, connected to my laptop when it asked, but now the apple TV box just keeps flashing and never ended, how do I fix this?

I just updated Apple TV and it has trouble starting up, and I had to re-set some settings. I'm new to the device, so it has me worried as there are no Apple stores in the area (Japan).
