Q: restore mail from time machine backup
I had to restore my Mac from a Time Machine backup, but I am missing about two weeks of some saved emails, emails that were placed in folders. Can I restore them? I am using Apple Mail and Mavericks.

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Mail/V2/the account (if only one). Enter Time Machine. That should allow you to search for them.
