ipod nano 4th generation wet water washer washing machine

I accidentally left my ipod nano 4th generation in my gym shorts pocket and it went through the washer and dryer. It was not responding and seemed to be broken. I was very upset because I have had this nano for a long time. I found a video online that showed me how to fix it. I submerged my ipod in isopropyl alcohol for a few minutes, then placed it in a bag of rice overnight, then charged it the next day, and it worked.
