Q: Transferring contacts

Hi, can anyone help me other this...

How do I transfer my contacts from my old iPhone 4 to new iPhone 4S?

It's probably very simple but I can't work it out!!

Your contacts on your iPhone 4 should be syncing to iCloud or another account.

You would simply need to setup that same account on your new phone, and enable Contacts sync.

If you have NOT been synching contacts, enable iCloud on your old iPhone 4 and merge the contacts on your phone to iCloud.

    Thanks pdroth..

We're just waiting for iTunes software to update then will see if we have been syncing to the cloud...

Is it easy to 'enable contacts sync'. I assume that's a function we perform when it's plugged into the computer?

No it is not.   You do it right on your device.

Go to Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars.     See if you have iCloud account listed, and if so, make sure Contacts is turned on.
