Pages 5.1 Templates
Is there a way to get My Templates to open with View Settings (re. rulers, guides and layout showing) that were in effect when I saved the template?

Nope. Why not? Ask Apple.You might say, "But if you actually *use* these programs for *work,* all this — setting the defauly zoom, rulers, etc. — are HUGE conveniences." But it's by no means clear that producing programs that people can use effectively is what Apple is all about these days.
