I need to leave a phone number for customer support to contact me, what format should I use, no combination seems to work...

Which support area did you try?

And, which country are you in?

If you are contacting the US support site, then I'd assume any US number would work.

If you are outside of the USA would you not have to head it with the country code of the phone number you want them to call? This can vary from +s to 00s and who knows what else.
