Get rid of an echo in a recording.

Hello,

I am editing a webinar video and need to get rid of an echo that is in the recording. The person talking left their speakers on while they were speaking into the mic.

What is the best way to reduce the echo present in the recording?

I am using iMovie version 10.0.2.

Thanks!

Not easy to do. Some might even say impossible.

The only thing I can suggest is to try using Audacity.

It's a free, open source audio editing and recording app.

You can find some discussions about removing echo in their forums.

A Google search on "remove echo from audio" lists a few of them.

They get a bt technical, but I think it's your best hope.
