Admin password changed when I installed my new Macbook (Pro)?

I had my (black) Macbook (2008, 5.1) for so long now, and decided to buy a Macbook Pro. Somehow however, my admin password for my Macbook (the old one), stopped working when I installed my Macbook Pro!??. I know i have the right password. I even used it on my new one too (haha i know thats not that smart xd, but i guess i was scared i would mix up stuff) ---> AND I WAS RIGHT

the password is wrong somehow. and other passwords (like my AppleID one, of variations i sometimes use) won't work either. So it must be done automatically? Or an error?

I've been reading options about how to reset it via install discs and stuff, but the first question is: WHAT HAPPENED? Maybe I can fix it when i find out this.

-no, nobody changed the password
