Anyone know how to do this? Is there a plug-in available?

There isn't a plugin for Lightroom, but if you have OS X 10.7.5 or later and iPhoto '11 9.2.2 or later, sign into your iCloud account in System Preferences>iCloud and check photos, then in iPhoto, go to iPhoto>Preferences>iCloud (Photo Stream) and check Automatic Upload. Then you can import your photos from Lightroom to iPhoto and they will automatically be imported to your photo stream.

Hello. I use Aperture and love it. But Apple is discontinuing the program, so I have migrated to Lightroom 5. Do I have to export my photos from Lightroom, then import them into Aperture, then upload them to my photostream from there?

And since Apple is discontinuing Aperture, how do I get my pics onto my photostream without any Apple-created post-processing photo software? Can't Apple simply provide Adobe with a Lightroom upgrade that will allow users to send pics to their photostream with a simple menu option (like in Aperture?) i.e. share to my icloud photostream? Thanks.

And since Apple is discontinuing Aperture,

That does not mean, that Aperture and iPhoto will stop working soon. Only, that no new major upgrades will be available. But for the life cycle of Yosemite at least will Aperture be supported.

Apple's successor.app to Aperture and iPhoto for iCloud support will be Photos and and not Lightroom. Photos has not yet been released, it has been announced for early next year. Until then, it is hard to say anything about Apple's plans.

Where in iCloud do you want to upload photos to? Shared Photo Streams? The iCloud Drive? What?

iPhoto and Aperture will be replaced by the new "Photo" application sometime next spring. It will include features from both apps and will probably provide a way upload photos to photo streams (we won't know until it is released). But for photo streams why should Apple do Adobe's work?

In the meantime, both iPhoto and Aperture will continue to work with Yosemite and maybe longer.

Hi LJBorg

I use lightroom 5 desktop application synchronized with ipad Lightroom mobile app.

It is not possible to share photos directly from Lightroom on desktop to iCloud, but I can share from the same collections from the mobile version.

So, I place the photos I want to share in collections that I can acces and easily share to iCloud from iPad.

This method keeps photos in one place, in Lightroom, and you don't have to export to temporary folder that takes up disk space.

It is done via "smart previews" that are small in size.

I have found lightroom support videos from their homepage very helpfull and if you search youtube you'll find many useful videos.

I mention just one; Anthony Morganti.
