Q: I cannot do empty trash on my mac. It keep running this message "The operation can’t be completed because the item....in use"

I cannot do empty trash on my mac. It keep running this message "The operation can’t be completed because the item....in use" I was try to solved this problem with many solutions that found from internet but still can't it was annoying me...

Need help

1. Reboot.
2. Securely Empty the Trash.

I was checked all the files locked or not
Log out and log in again and try to empty..
Then download and try the freeware name "Trash it" but not really work. All the files still there the same
Last I try to used the Terminal command by

sudo rm -ri ~/.Trash

(but this step i really not sure what i did, may beit was wrong. I get stuck when they asking me the password? cuz i dont have it!!!)
