Size and Ratio of pictures in menues
IDVD 7
All trials to apply sizes went false and really to the wrong results.
In format soft frame - is there a hint possible?
Thanks in forward,
Karl

This piece is not willingly to do what I want! Next trial high 300px nearly square it cuts away 3/4 of picture.
New test 100px… (resolution 72px/inch) … resultat is serious
No chance. Does iDVD 7xx not like Tigers (the are on the images)?

Hi Karl
Did You turn on - Show TV-safe area ?
Might help a bit - I think ?
Yours Bengt W
Yes, Bengt, I did it now, not earlier, because I can it not read- the red frame is smaller than the resulting DVD, on DVDs I have an area that is much larger than the red border. And each trial, larger image, smaller image, more padding left ore right, less padding, brings up a really surprising result.
I will now test other Vorlagen.

Now I looked to “modern” with the small horizontal area for the image
and “Podium“ with the one dropzone at the right side,
with the one picture it appeales to me. The question is not resolved for me.
Time to switch (to DVD Pro). :-)

I've found that when I change the size and shape of an image to make it fit in a frame I also have to change its name or else iDVD reverts to the previous size and shape.
Hope that helps.
Interesting point together with other findings, ie the name of o movie to alter the chapter-length.
Will check this soon.
Altough my trouble was, the the size displayed *changed* into not expected directions.
- thanks, Karl
Very interesting !
Good observation.
