Default Window Position for TextEdit

Default Window Position for TextEdit

Does anyone know of a way to get TextEdit to open a new document (or any document) in a desired position on my monitor? The default is very near the top-left, and I have a large monitor so have to continually drag the window to the center where I can use it.

It seems Apple has a mind of its own for things like this as Pages and Numbers documents do the same thing, but at least they open in the center of my my monitor.

I use dual monitors with separate Spaces, and Text Edit's window when opening, will "jump" back and forth depending on which Monitor has the active Menu Bar. I seriously doubt there's a way to control it.
