bluetooth thermometer for mac os

Is there a bluetooth thermometer for mac os? Running 10.9.1 on an ealry 2009 iMac. Found the Tempo but it appears that it is only for SmartPhones.

What are you looking to measure? Indoor temperature? Outdoor temperature? Food in an oven or on a grill? Or ??? It will help us know what to suggest it you can tell us what purpose you have in mind.


Note that Bluetooth is short range, so unless you plan to have the device very close to your Mac, a WiFi thermometer might be a better choice. Depends on what you want to to do, of course.

Unless you plan to bring the thermometer into the house to access the data, then, Bluetooth probably won't work. It's intended only for short range, usually with an effective range of about 50 feet, though I can't say that one wouldn't work for you. I'd suggest looking into a WiFi-enabled thermometer.
