If it's showing 'iPad is disabled. Connect to iTunes' then has somebody typed in the iPad's passcode too many times ?
You will need to do as the message says and connect it to your computer's iTunes, and you should then be able ro reset the iPad and restore/resync your content to it : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212
