I recently purchased a new iMac and am converting over from PC to Mac. I used the Migration Assistant to transfer files over to my iMac, but they don't show up on the iMac. Where do the files go when transferring over to the iMac? I transferred music, documents, email but can't find any of them on my iMac.

If you ran it outside of the setup process, into a different user account. Log out and then into it, or choose Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu, provide /Users/ as the path, and drag the migrated home folder to the desktop.
