why is there not anything here that expalins if airplay is not available it will not show up on your phone.

i spent time looking for this and i searched over apple forums and didnt find anything. i had to look through a google search to find answer saying if you do not have the devices it will not show on your phone yet this article sayis where you can find it but doesnt have anything else about it. please update this article to have correct information.

What you need

To use AirPlay, you need the following:

  • iPhone 4 (or later), iPad, iPad mini, or iPod touch (4th generation or later)
  • For videos or photos: Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation)
  • For music: Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), AirPort Express, or AirPlay-enabled speakers or receivers
