I received two Itunes giftcards as a gift and one is $25 and the other is $50 and I have tried to redeem them both and they said that they were not properly activated. What do I do? The person I received them from lives out of state so no reciept.

I received two Itunes giftcards as a gift and one is $25 and the other is $50 and I have tried to redeem them both and they said that they were not properly activated. What do I do? The person I received them from lives out of state so no reciept.

I don't know what to do the person lives out of state and so I don't have a receipt for these. Is there anything I can do or they pretty much trash?

You will need to try contacting iTunes Support and see what they say (you will probably need to give them images of the front and back of the card) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes
