ipad mini not recognised on imac as a device, won't add to my list of devices - can anyone help me? A never ending loop of 'non authorised computer' when it is clearly connected & won't transfer purchases.

iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer for iTunes Store purchases. It won't recognize my ipad either!
