rented a movie on apple tv / rapidly blinking after 60mins

Hello,

so I just rented a movie on Apple TV and started watching it.

Everything was fine until about 60 minutes in, ATV lost its signal and began to blink rapidly.

So far so good.

Restoring from my TV screen won't work since nothing shows up, I can't restore via iTunes since iTunes doesen't recognize it...

...remote buttons won't work either and for some reason I can't even connect Apple TV via mini-usb to my computer.

And after all, there's still the half-watched movie I rented that I can't finish.
