Microsoft Visual C++ runtime Library error

An itunes update installation has caused me to get a runtime error - Microsoft Visual C Runtime Library - R6034. I have uninstalled itunes, done a windows scan to see if there is anything missing which found nothing and now can't even reload itunes! Love some tips on how to get rid of the error message. Cheers Mrs F

Ang99 - I tried this approach and Yay it worked. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 I had to completely remove itunes and all the files from my computer and then reinstall. I did back up my library first onto an external drive AND just copied the folder onto my desk top - when I reinstalled itunes it asked me if I wanted to scan for my library and it found it and uploaded it - itunes now looks exactaly as it did before the error message - no idea how but I am delighted. good luck

I have tried all of these steps and nothing has worked. I have moved all the .dll files to desktop and when I try and uninstall Bonjour it says that the file is open in another program and to close it. I can not find anything about Bonjour being open anywhere else. The last time I updated iTunes I had this problem, but it was an easy fix. Anyone else have and ideas on what I can do?

Great, thanks very much, after struggling with this I've finally got it working again.

For those still having problems, must make sure you go through the 2nd stage after running the un-install. I still had a mass of files in "programme files" which I deleted manually - for some having to go in to task manager and stop. Having done all of this, I rebooted and loaded iTunes from new without any problems.

Haven't tried ipad/iPhone sync yet or iCloud but hopefully all ok.

Not sure whose response this was, but the instructions give thanks to you turingtest2 ... I followed the instructions - removed all the itunes items in order, reinstalled itunes and so far, so good!! Many thx ... it was on my hubby's laptop - don't know how it happened, but that's history! Very grateful for this forum - you saved my bacon!!
