My computer makes an error sound whenever i play a note on my midi keyboard in garageband?????

I plugged in my Roland HP201 electric piano to my mac using a Roland UM-ONE midi-usb cable. I connected it to Garageband and when I play a note i hear it from the computer but it also makes an error sound.. Help Me please!!!!!!!
