Whenever I add a new project, the new project always appears at the end of my projects. In the past, when I added a new project, it just appeared in alphabetical order, but now I have to drag and drop them in alphabetical order. Is there a way of getting Aperture to work properly in this regard? Thanks.

Thanks for the tip. Somehow it had been changed, but I don't ever remember changing the setting. Maybe it happerned, when I upgraded Aperture at one point, which doesn't make sense. Of course, I could have done it by accident. Anyway, it solved my problem, so I can enjoy the day.

Was the setting set to Manual by any chance?
Keep in mind that if you drag a project the setting will be set to Manual and stay there even if you drag it back to its original position.

Yes, it was set to Manual. Now that you mention it, I may have at one point dragged a project and never paid much attention to it. I will pay more attention in the future, now that I know what happens.
