Why is it that I´m constantly getting asked to update iPhoto but it never actually seems to go through?

I´m trying to connect my iPhone and iMac via iCloud to be able to share my photos between those two devices. The problem being that I need to update iPhoto on my iMac to be able to do so. Wouldn´t be a problem if I hadn´t already tried to do so about four times without success.

Hope there are some answers out there.

Remember we can't see your machine, much less read your mind, so, you're going to have to tell us some useful information if you want help. How did you try? How did it fail? Desribe the problem for someone who can't see or hear you...
