iTunes not recognizing iPhone

Previously, when I would plug my iPhone into the USB Port of the computer, iTunes would instantly recognize it. Now, iTunes does not recognize it anywhere that I can find. Even in the Library tab it does not show "Devices". May I get some help with this please?
