what is causing Pages 09 docs to rerun?

I'm peparing document in Pages 09 on my MacPro under Mavericks. I save the file and take it to an iMac running Mtn Lion and Pages 09 and the text reruns...I end up with widow lines for example where there were none. The text seems to set much looser on the iMac.

Is this purely an OS issue where Mavericks is calculating differently? I do have the same versions of the fonts installed on both machines.
