I used a different ID for products I bought a few years ago and can't remember the password to them..but also have a new id and password I use more often now. My old id has an expired email. How can I change my old ID to my current one...or how can I recover my old ID PW to unlock my movies I bought years ago?

You can't merge accounts nor move content from one account to another account. You could try getting access to the account via this page : http://iforgot.apple.com
If that you doesn't work then you will need to contact Support to try and get access to it : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
If you do then you can change the primary email address on it to an account that you have access to (the address can't be being used on another account) e.g. via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com
