Solving the iTunes Installation Problems in Windows

1. Apple has posted their solution here: iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows- Unable to install or open - MSVCR80 issue.

2. If the Apple article does not fully resolve the problem for you, then try Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates - MSVCR80.

I very much appreciate any help, but none of the suggestions that have been supplied have worked. I have not phoned Apple support mainly due to the general opinion of the forum that Apple could not care less. I am only a Home user and far from an IT status, my next option is to contact my local Computer shop and see if they can

help, it will cost me of course, but I am prepared to accept this. I hate not to have solved the problem myself.

Many thanks for any info supplied, If I do find a solution I will post a message.

Best wishes

After trying a few of the suggestions many times inc uninstalling and re install I had given up all hope of solving installling iTunes. Today 9/2/14 I had another go, this time I deleted any ref to iTunes both in C;/programe files

and any ref in the registry. Started the install, yet again, and WOW it worked. I have no real idea what action

actually did the trick but now iTunes are installed.

Many thanks for the solutions supplied on the forum. I hope my small experience will perhaps help someone.
