ipod, iphone or ipad will not show on itunes?

I have itunes running on Windows 8.1 and updated itunes on the 24.1.2014 and since the update none of my iphone, ipod touch or ipad mini are appearing?

A trust this computer or not bar appears on connection since the update and the computer accepts the wire and says the ipod is attached but NOT APPEARING ON ITUNES!?

There are so many people talking about the same problem on these discussion boards but still no better update?

Is there a way to go BACK to the last update that DID work?

1. Update iTunes

2. Check the USB cable

3. Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed

4. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service

5. Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed

6. Check for third-party software conflicts
