Iphone4 won't connect to iTunes, Help!!

I have an iphone 4 and right now iTunes can't detect that it's connected. I have a laptop with Windows8. The itunes and phone itself is updated as well as the iphone driver, and it is charging proper;y. So i really have no clue with what's going on. Seems like it happened ever since itunes got the latest update. Any clues anyone?
