FaceTime connecting to iPhone instead of Mac

When my wife FaceTimes me from her MacBook Air, it rings on my iPhone instead of on my MacBook Pro. The same thing happens when I try to FaceTime her from my Mac. We have both tried calling the various email addresses instead of the phone number but it always rings on the phone. What is wrong with these things?!
