Restarted today. Only beeping?

Today I restarted my MacBook (2011 model, 10.7.5) and it would not turn on. It would only beep multiple times. I think 4 or 5? I played around with the computer plugged in, not plugged in etc with no luck. The battery was around 95% charged before the restart. I FINALLY got it to work but only if I tried to turn it on within the first few seconds after connecting the charger while it was lit up green. Any ideas? I restarted it again and it beeped. The only way it starts is with the method mentioned. Any ideas?

Oh, I have never changed the ram or anything. It is just as it came from apple.

Excuse my ignorance, but it will not be under warrenty correct? I bought it from Best Buy and the closest Apple store is about 1.5 hours away.

I would call best buy. I would hope it is under warranty.

Even out of warranty work is usually guaranteed for 90 days. Look at your paper work.

I have never had any problems with the computer, so it has never been to Apple for any repairs. It was purchased Xmas 2011. Unless I am reading your post wrong...

Ok thank you. I was afraid of having to drive to the Apple store though. My closest one is in the Florida Mall in Orlando which is always chaos on top of the 1.5 hour drive. I found a local store that is about 20 mins away, an authorized service center and they will do a basic diagnostic for free so I am going to take it there first. After that point I will perhaps make an appointment for next weekend and make the trip to the Genius Bar if needed.

I am hoping it is an easy fix, I managed to get it to turn on and am currently typing on it so I can't imagine it being some sort catastrophic failure but who knows.
