Q: iCloud calendars not displaying in iCal 7.0

I have multiple calendars set up in iCal... one for each of my four children, my own, and one for "Family" events.

However, even after troubleshooting, resyncing, checking iCloud, 99% of the events aren't showing up on OS X, including those on the default calendar, even though they do on the iPhone (4S, running 7.0.4). Any ideas?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

    Please try the following...

    1. First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
    2. Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
    3. If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

So... another question. In iCal on iOS, all the calendars are there, but show up under BOTH "From my Mac" and "iCloud." Does this mean there was some error and I have two sets of calendars with the same names?

Yes it sounds that way. However you may have different appointments in each, so I wouldn't go trashing your calendars without checking their contents.

Yep, that was totally what happened. Somehow, the calendars were duplicated between the two. All but one calendar had appointments being set up on the "From My Mac" calendars. No idea at all how that happened, but was able to move everything to the right ones.

    Thank you!
