Apple Mobile Device Service wont start Win 7 64 bit: Solution
After trying all the "easy" ways...here is a solution that works. Merely restarting the service in "services" is not going to work.
Go to start>control panel>programs and features.
Let it populate.
Right-click on each of these programs and choose "uninstall". You have to watch each one because it will ask for confirmation
- Apple Application Support
- Apple Mobile Device Support
- Apple Software Update
- Bonjour
After you have uninstalled each one in turn, reboot your computer.
Either go back to Apple and re-download and install iTunes, or, if you have saved it your download folder just navigate to that folder, right click on it and choose "run as administrator".
It will work just fine.
